Honoring Dean Lawrence Edward Carter Sr. at Atlanta City Hall

Atlantic Institute was honored to take part in the City of Atlanta’s tribute recognizing Dean Lawrence Edward Carter Sr., a distinguished educator, scholar, and community leader whose decades of service at Morehouse College have inspired generations of students and leaders.
The occasion also brought to mind the meaningful connections built through shared values and mutual respect, including the recognition of Fethullah Gülen with the Gandhi King Ikeda Award during Dean Carter’s leadership in 2015. We were grateful to reconnect with dear friends and celebrate a legacy devoted to education, dialogue, service, and human dignity.
