2nd Annual Community Service Appreciation Iftar Dinner
On the evening of Saturday, June 17th, The Atlantic Institute hosted its 2nd Annual Community Service Appreciation Iftar Dinner in order to honor the tireless efforts of Atlanta's nonprofit community. Our community members and partners joined us as we say Thank You to the nonprofits that make our cities the kind of place we are proud to be a part of! This is a free event to show those that dedicate their lives for our communities every day that we care and appreciate them.
In addition, we will be recognized two organizations for their outstanding contributions to our community. This year those organizations are Drawchange and Glitter of Hope Foundation. Drawchange is an organization dedicated to aid global change by supplying the world’s children with empowering art experiences. Glitter of Hope Foundation is devoted to addressing the basic needs of orphan children rescued from refugee camps in Africa and Asia and brought into the US as refugees. Join us as for a very special iftar dinner to learn about how these organizations are changing lives in our community.
For the world’s 1.5 billion Muslims, Ramadan is a time of fasting, prayer, closeness to God, family, and community. It is also the perfect time for Muslims to invite their friends and neighbors to share in the spirit of Ramadan through an iftar dinner, which are the meals that break the fast. Please join us, so that in addition to honoring your service, we may also share a bit of culture and tradition with you.
