2nd Annual Community Service Appreciation Iftar Dinner
On the evening of Saturday, June 17th, The Atlantic Institute will be hosting its 2nd Annual Community Service Appreciation Iftar Dinner in order to honor our local government officials, peace officers, religious leaders, and other public servants whose hard work is so often taken for granted. We want to take the evening to honor and serve you! This is a free event to show those that dedicate their lives for our communities every day that we care and appreciate them.
In addition, we will be recognizing two organizations for their outstanding contributions to our community. Last year those organizations were Second Helpings Atlanta and Clarkston Community Health Center. Second Helpings Atlanta (secondhelpingsatlanta.org) rescues food surplus from the 5-county Metropolitan Atlanta Area and delivers it to those in need and Clarkston Community Health Center (clarkstonhealth.org) provides health screening, primary and preventive healthcare to the refugee, indigent, underinsured and uninsured population of the Clarkston community and surrounding areas.
For the world’s 1.5 billion Muslims, Ramadan is a time of fasting, prayer, closeness to God, family, and community. It is also the perfect time for Muslims to invite their friends and neighbors to share in the spirit of Ramadan through an iftar dinner, which are the meals that break the fast. Please join us, so that in addition to honoring your service, we may also share a bit of culture and tradition with you.
I hope your schedule allows for you to join us. RSVP today!
